Chateau de Mon Reve Is Arrowheads Latest Ski-in, Ski-out Masterpiece.

Soon to be Arrowhead’s newest entry in the exclusive “trophy home” category is a Tuscan Chateau aptly named Chateau de Mon Reve or Castle in the Mountain.  Situated high on Arrowhead Mountain this masterpiece offers true ski-in, ski-out, 7 spacious bedroom suites, outdoor living areas focused around a water fall, and an indoor grotto with spa. 

At just under 14,000 sq ft this home rivals any of the great homes in the Vail Valley.  Despite its size, the home has been designed to be very comfortable as in no cavernous rooms.  Two people living here would find the home quite comfortable.  Extensive use of native stone has been tastefully integrated throughout the home in concert with various hard woods and timbers to create a warm pleasant feel.

I am particularly impressed with the ski room located on the top floor.  I reminds me of a ski lodge of old with its log walls and fireplace.  The grand master is another very unique living space that I like, especially the bath area located in the “tower”. 

The bar rivals any public establishment in the Valley and the grotto is something you won’t find in the other grand homes of the Vail Valley.  Did I mention the out door hot tub overlooks a 30 foot water fall. 

Here is a good day:  After I have had enough skiing I ski back to the house, drop of my ski gear in the ski room, take the elevator down to the bar/wine cellar where I pick up a bottle of what ever, then head into the grotto for a little relaxation followed by……what ever. 

I see trophy homes all day long; most are vanilla flavored look alikes.  You been in one, you have been in most of them; this home I like.  I could live here.  At $14 million I just need to win the lottery.
