Beaver Creek Skiing Comes to A Close
Golf replaces skiing for locals and tourists
The 2005 ski season at Beaver Creek has come to an end. The resort shut its lifts this past Sunday, with Vail set to close Sunday, April 17th. Mother Nature still thought it was winter however, bringing several inches of powder as well as some strong winds.
The real estate market in Beaver Creek had an oustanding year, and was only hampered by limited inventory. For the month of February alone, there was $31.5 million in residential transactions. This constituted over 18% of the volume in the Vail Valley for the month, with February setting its highest volume yet with over $172.6 million in residential sales.
Locals and tourists alike are now getting ready for summer in the Vail Valley. Golf especially has become a economic boom for Beaver Creek, Cordillera, Singletree, and Red Sky Ranch. So while we put away our skis, we grab our clubs and head out to enjoy the Rocky Mountain lifestyle.
