Mortgage rates dropped again Wednesday, March 18, 2009 as the Federal Reserve announced it was buying more US Treasury notes and mortgage related debt.? That's good news for the real estate market as interest rates should stay lower for a good part of 2009.?( The FED will be buying approximately $1.2 trillion of the aforementioned to keep rates low and encourage growth in the economy.?) Local mortgage brokers and lenders are busy with refinances (refi's) and many homeowners are looking at their mortgages and trying to decide if they too should consider a refinance.?
