Vail is made up of many small neighborhoods serviced by a free Town of Vail bus year round. One of the most convenient to Vail neighborhoods is the Sandstone/Lionsridge area which is just 1 1/2 miles from Vail Village on the north side of the road overlooking Vail Mountain. Here, the buses are frequent and the prices for a residence are much lower than in Vail which can run from $ 1200 to $2000+ a sq ft.
Sandstone is one of Vail's earliest areas to have been developed, thus the great location. You will find many condo complex's here with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. Depending on age and condition prices generally range between $275 to $450 a sq ft.
