Brown Trout Fall Spawn
This is quite possibly the best time of year to fly fish in Colorado
The aspen leaves are gone, the first snows have come and it is time for brown trout to get it on. The month of October in the Vail Valley is definitely a time of change and it is quite possibly the best fly fishing action of the year. Brown trout spawn in the fall and starting in early October start to stack up in the Eagle River on their way to the small spawning creeks upstream. Another bonus is the fact that most of the tourist fisherman are gone and plenty of locals of hung up their rods for the year so the fish have far less pressure on them than in the summer months.
South Fork Meadows is an enclave of 36 homes located at the confluence of the Eagle River and Lake Creek. This is a major spawning creek and the fish are thick in there right now. The fishing access to this spot is private for owners and their guests which means that these fish probably only see a few angers per week.
Please come by and check out the new construction duplexes starting at $854,900 for 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath units with two car garages and high end finishes throughout. Own a piece of Colorado history and enjoy private access to one of the best fly fishing spots in Colorado.
