I have lived in this paradise for nearly 20 years. I have seen change, people come and go but many are here to stay. Friends laughed when I moved to Edwards years ago , when Edwards was too far away from Vail. In reality merely 15 minutes from the skiarea in Vail and 10 minutes to Beaver Creek skiing, not to mention breathtaking views to the East of Game Creek bowl to the South NY mountain range and Castle Peak to the West. Recreation with the new fieldhouse offering in door soccer, Lacrosse, gymnastics and various camps abound for the young and old. Schools are  fabulous with an option for any learner.  The new Battle Mountain Highschool, across from the fieldhouse has students excited to go to school .  CMC has it’s college campus in the vicinity, there is talk about bringing college students a 4 year degree versus an associates. CMC has a wonderful nursing program where you can get all the pre requisites out of the way before transfering to Glenwood springs CMC campus,only a 45 minute drive. The campus is also known for it’s culinary program. Besides schalistic programs, there is a cute town by the river with restaurants, bars and boutiques abound If you thought you could never afford to live in the Vail area think again…the economy has made it to where home prices have fallen to prices from 10years ago in certain areas.
