Eagle County Average Sales Price Up 21% from 2005

Eagle County’s average sales price year-to-date through July, 2006, is up 21% over average sales price year-to-date in 2005. The 2006 average sales price through July is $840,646, compared with last year’s average of $664,864. The 2006 year-to-date figure is 58% higher than that of 2004, which was $489,280. The month of July’s total sales volume of $214,424,600 brings the year-to-date total to $1,460,202,300, and year-to-date transactions to 1,737.
July Highlights:
· July had 5 transactions of over $5 million, reflecting an average of $5,845,000.
· The area of Eagle had the highest number of transactions with 51; that figure represents approximately 20% of Eagle County’s transactions.
· Vail Village was the area with the highest dollar volume at $26,568,500.
· Bachelor Gulch accounted for over 12% of the transactions in Eagle County. One sale in Bachelor Gulch of $5,225,000, was the highest single transaction for the month.
· The average price for a single family home in Eagle County was $1,110,633.
· For the 3rd month this year, multi-family homes accounted for more transactions than single family homes.
