Eagle Vail To Get A New Swim Facility?
Eagle Vail Voters To Decide On Future Of Its Recreactionall Facilities.
On October 19, 2007, a mail-in ballot will be going out to registered voters in the State of Colorado who own property in Eagle Vail.
Eagle Vail is a neighborhood of some 1450 homes located between Vail and Beaver Creek.
The ballot will have one question. Voters will be asked to continue paying 9.4 mils after the current 9.4 mils expires in 2009. Currently the 9.4mils is paying off long term debt. In ‘09 that debt will be paid off.
In order for Eagle-Vail to reinvest in its recreational amenities, voters will need to say yes to continuing to pay 9.4 mils. This time the 9.4 mils will be added to the "operating mil levy" and will be used to replace aging facilities, and pay for maintenace issues that have been neglected due to lack of money.
The first item on the wish list is a new swim facility. The present facility was closed two weeks earlier than ususal as it just wore out and was no longer safe to use.
If Eagle Vail wants to remain a desireous neighborhood, a yes vote is mandatory.
