East Vail ( a favorite of mine) is one of the only communities here in the Vail Valley that still feels like a ski town.  Mountains and trees dominate the views, with only very limited commercial development.  (the liquor store complex by Pitkin Creek and the Bighorn Bistro at the Vail Racquet Club)  Ski bums still live side by side with millionaire vacationers.

East Vail View

There are currently 15 properties in East Vail listed on the MLS under $500K. (properties we would consider entry level for this market)  Many of these (9) are located in the Vail Racquet Club, a recently renovated athletic club with many tennis courts and amenities.  Starting at $319K, these units represent one fo the few opportunities to enter the East Vail market under $400K.  Pitkin Creek Park is another condo complex that has a few (4) entry units available, with one under $300K  (ha; $299,999).  Both of these complexes rent well, have pools, and feel like you’re in the mountains.
