Edwards: A Newer Colorado “Dream Town”

Gateway Land and Development Calls Edwards Home

A recent article in the Vail Daily sheds light on what those of us that live here have known for years, that Edwards is a great place to live and work!   Many locals that moved to the Vail Valley to ski, now find themselves enjoying the longer summer days in the lower elevations of Edwards.

Edwards is the largest residential community in Eagle County.  There is a wonderful mix of single family homes, duplexes, townhomes and comdominiums that appeal to a wide variety of tastes and budgets.  The neighborhoods of Homestead, Singletree, Arrowhead and Lake Creek appeal to families as well as young professionals.

Restaurants, shops, and services now abound in Edwards, and it truly has become the heart of the Vail Valley. (Not to take anything away from Vail, for it is the reason most of us are here, but for the “not-in-their-early-twenties-anymore” crowd, Edwards is the place to be.)

There are currently about 165 active residential listings, ranging in price from the low $300K’s to the multiple millions.  And that does not include the homes and homesites in Cordillera.

Gateway Land and Development Company, founded by Suzi Apple, is one of the premier real estate firms in the entire Vail Valley.  Gateway is located in the Edwards Village, just past Hwy 6 off Edwards Village Blvd., across the street from eat!drink! and next to the Gore Range Brewery.
