Gilman to get necessary clean-up by developer

Bobby Ginn plans to build 150 homes at Gilman site

Bobby Ginn’s proposed development of Battle Mountain Land including Gilman, an abandoned mining town, would occur after a lengthy clean-up of the contaminated soil and waste rock that the mining town had left behind.

Ginn’s development plans include a private ski resort, golf course and 1,700 homes on 5,400 acres of Battle Mountain Land that includes 150 homes at Gilman.  Ginn is offering to clean-up the abandoned town voluntarily.
