Ginn’s Private Resort releases Blueprints

The 4300 acres of land identified as Ginn’s future ski resort just south of Minturn have been organized into a conceptual plan and recently submitted to the Town of Minturn.  Ginn plans to separate the parcel into five unique areas of development called Bolts Lake, Gilman, Willow Creek, Holy Cross and Rock Creek.  Over 1700 housing units are planned within these five communities.  Bolts Lake is intended to be the hub of the resort featuring retail shops, restaurants, lodging, an aquatic center and an 18-hole golf course.  Eight chair lifts will access ski runs in Gilman and Rock Creek areas.

It amazes me that this Valley may grow to accommodate such a project. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for new development, but is something as grandiose as Ginn’s plan really necessary?  Something to consider . . .
