Living and working in Edwards Colorado has allowed me many opportunities to sample the area's restaurants.? As the largest bed base in Eagle County, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Edwards boasts dozens of local eateries.? Here are a few of my favorites.

Edwards newest (and best) bar and restaurant is located in the Ruby building of Riverwalk, the eastern-most building along Highway 6.? Come by to see why locals flock to the great outdoor patio and make it a "standing room only kind of place" on Friday and Saturday nights.? Great for families and/or for drinks after work, the wide ranging menu does not disappoint.? Be sure to try the lobster tacos or the etown signature tuna entree.? The fun, comfortable feel is complimented by the 15 flat screens?to catch?all of the games.?

Started by local entrepeneurs, the Smiling Moose has expanded and is now opening stores around the state (and the country)? Their well made hot and cold sandwiches are not only tasty, but filling.? If you're looking for a quick bite and don't want to wait for sit down?service, stop by the Moose and order from their deli counter.? Try the Minturn Mile; its got something for everyone on it.

The owners and staff of Juniper continue to do an excellent job providing a comfortable, upscale environment that serves excellent food.? Located in Riverwalk, Juniper is great for a special night out or for the "you want to impress on your first date" dinner.? Try sitting at the bar for great apps and good conversation.

You always know the food will be fresh at dish!? The head chef Jenna prides herself on serving only the freshest ingredients on dish's ever changing menu.? Choose from several small plates, or if you see something you really want, get it in a full size portion.? The truffle popcorn at the bar will require significant willpower to resist; but why resist, this place is all about good food and drinks.? Located in the Edwards Corner Bldg.

Sato is an Edwards icon.? Almost always busy, this sushi and japanese restaurant does an outstanding job, especially considering we live in a landlocked state.? My wife's favorite, we have never had a bad meal here and love to bring our out of town guests.? The?casually hip atmosphere seems natural in this smaller, intimate setting.? Located in the Edwards Village Center.
