New I-70 Exchange for Edwards, CO?
The powers that be are looking into the possibility of a new I-70 exchange here in Edwards. Traffic in recent years has gotten much more congested at certain times of the day, namely the morning and afternoon commutes. I do feel that the Edwards Spur Rd. and Highway 6 are often overly crowded, and a new exchange may be able to alleviate some of this. I’m just glad we don’t live somewhere where traffic is really bad, like Washington D.C or Eagle. (ha, ha. Just a friendly jab at my friends west of here.)
A recent article in the Vail Daily goes into a bit more detail. The estimated cost of the study is $500,000. (That’s a lot of studying; I’m not sure what a 4 year degree currently costs, but this might be close. What is your degree in? The Edwards I-70 interchange.)
Stay involved. If you live here, let the powers that be know your opinions. Contact the Edwards Community Authority and the Eagle County Commissioners
