Beaver Creek opens 5 lifts and 23 trails to kick off the Thanksgiving holiday

Beaver Creek opens its slopes for its 25th season in operation, Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005.  Five lifts will be running, servicing 23 trails and 412 acres of skiable terrain. 

Beaver Creek joins sister resort Vail, which opened last Friday with some of the most terrain on an opening day in its history. 

Now that the season is upon us, Beaver Creek has much in store.  The Visa Birds of Prey World Cup races will be filled with activity Dec. 1 - 4, both on-mountain and off.  The atmosphere and energy of these races makes for a not-to-be missed event.
