Affordable West Vail Hotel proposed site for new mid-level hotel and condominiums
Value is still key to the development proposal
The Roost Lodge has been a low priced, extremely affordable option for lodging in Vail since the 1970’s. Now, it is the proposed site for a much needed redevelopment of the existing structure. The proposal calls for 129 hotel rooms and 39 condos equipped with suite living and small kitchens to further the value oriented goal of the existing and proposed development.
The only other hotels under construction now in Vail are all high end. This new project will still provide the moderately priced option for vacationers on a budget. The proposal is for a "select-service" hotel, similar to the Residence Inn chain by Marriott.
If the approval process moves forward accordingly, construction would begin mid-summer and would be completed in early 2008.
