Avon's Reputation is on the Rise and so are its Real Estate Prices

The Town of Avon continues its drastic revamping with yet another enhancement approved by the Town of Avon. The kayaking community came out in force at an Avon Town Council meeting Tuesday night to express support of the proposed Avon whitewater park and river enhancements along the Eagle River. After approving the project, Ted Seipel Construction Inc. was awarded the construction opportunity. Completion is scheduled for October 2006. In addition to this Whitewater Park, two major condominium developments are under construction – The Gates and The Westin. (see link below for more information on those projects)  

What does this mean for Avon? For years, Avon has taken place to Vail and Edwards in popularity for homeowners and tourists looking to settle down. The recent enhancements and major condominium developments have awakened the community of Avon and as a result the real estate prices are rising. Avon used to be a “sleeper” for investors looking to buy affordable short term rental investments. That scenario is changing as quickly as the town’s look. There are still deals to be had, but I wouldn’t wait too much longer to consider them.
