Recent Sales in Bachelor Gulch = Big Price Tags

There has been a lot of talk recently about the high-end market here in the Vail Valley.  And a perfect example of this can be found about 10 miles west of Vail, in the exclusive neighborhood of Bachelor Gulch. (Located right next door to Beaver Creek.) This beautiful home just sold for $14.2 million, or approximately $1420/sf.  That’s a lot of dough!

There have been 9 sales over $5 million, (including 3 over $10 million)  out of the 41 sales in the past 6 months.  The most expensive on a per foot basis is a Ritz-Carlton Townhome at $1633/sf, while the home pictured above had the highest purchase price.  (This fantastic home was listed by Gateway Land and Develpoment’s owner, Suzi Apple.)

There are currently 44 active listings in Bachelor Gulch, with 11 others currently under contract.  The bulk of the 41 sales from the past six months were priced in the $800-$1000/sf range.
