Eagle County Real Estate Prices Continue to Rise

The second best real estate year in our history

The year 2006 ended in sales of $2.7 billion, the second best year in Eagle County Real Estate history, only behind last year. Average sales prices rose to $884,164-, which was a 21% rise over 2005. Down valley saw a lot of activity with Eagle representing 26% of total transactions. Gypsum was second in total transactions, again showing the strength of moderate priced housing overall.  The largest dollar volume was Beaver Creek, which, by itself, had a total volume of $39 million. Because of the scarcity of land, there is no question that prices will continue to be supported by lack of new housing. Call your local realtor at Gateway Land to get updates on what is just coming on the market. Speak with Judd Babcock at 970-376-3230 for best represenation.
