Here's an update of the construction projects in Vail

Vail Front Door:  Vail Resort’s Front Door will include 13 townhomes, a skier services building, a private club, a loading dock, an underground parking garage, a spa and an addition to the Lodge at Vail.  The steel and wood are being erected at the Vail Mountain Club building and the chalet homes are being framed.  The skier services building and garage are supposed to be completed by next ski season.  The spa and Lodge addition are expected to be complete by Christmas 2007 and the private club and townhomes are slated to be complete by 2008.

Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail:  Vail Resort’s Ritz-Carlton Residences are in Lionshead at the corner of South Frontage and West Forest roads, next to the Vail Marriott.  There will be 71 condos which are expected to be completed in the winter of 2009-2010.

Arrabelle at Vail Square: The retail spaces are under construction and the final touches are being done to the hotel.  The hotel is set to open January 5, 2008 and the stores and restaurants are supposed to be open before Christmas.  The Arrabelle has 66 condos which have all been sold, 36 hotel rooms, a spa, meeting rooms, a restaurant, mountain operations space, stores, parking and a loading dock.  It is located in the center of Lionshead and is on the site of the old gondola building.

Vail Whitewater Park: Inflatable bladders are being installed in Gore Creek to improve the whitewater park.  Work in the park is supposed to be complete by the end of the month and the park is supposed to be working by this fall.

Vail Plaza Hotel and Club:  The opening is planned for the beginning of ski season.  The project has 100 hotel rooms, 38 fractional fee units, two restaurants, a bar and a spa.

Solaris:  Grading and excavation has begun.  The project is slated to be completed in the winter of 2009-10.  Solaris will have 75 condos, a three-screen movie theater, a 10-lane bowling alley, stores, restaurants, and an ice rink/public plaza.

Vail Mountainview Residences:  The Vail Mountainview Residences on Gore Creek is being built on the site of Apollo Park near Ford Park.  The project will have 25 condos with a completion date of December 2008.

Four Seasons:  Excavation is 95 percent complete and the foundation work will continue through the end of October.  The Four Seasons will have 120 hotel rooms, 16 condos and 19 timeshares.  The property is located just southwest of the main Vail roundabout.  It is scheduled for completion in September 2009.

Manor Vail: Steel is being erected for the additional condos that are being built on top of the old condos.    Excavation continues for the new underground garage. The project will redo the exterior of the buildings and new windows are going in the old units.  There will be 17 new condos. The targeted completion date is fall of 2008.
