Update on construction in Vail and Lionshead
As you read through the paper regarding new construction in Vail, there are so many projects coming on line that we as Brokers need to update you on the progress and size of each of them. Nearing completion is the Arrabelle in Lionshead which has 66 condos, 36 hotel rooms restaurants, offices, stores and parking places. Of the condos, 18 have closed and most of the shops and restaurants are already open. At the Willows near Checkpoint Charlie in Vail Village, there will be 9 fractional units and 9 condos. Trim work is being completed and the units will be ready for occupancy this summer. At the east end of town the Manor Vail condos are targeted for completion this summer as well, and there will be 17 new condos on top of the existing units.
There will be three huge addtions to the Village all just starting: Solaris will have 77 condos and a plethora of added amenities. There will be a three screen movie theater, a 10 lane bowling alley, stores, reastaurants and shops, with an ice rink in the front plaza. Completion will be in 2010. The next largest building will be the Four Seasons at the main Vail roundabout. It will consist of 120 hotel rooms, 16 condos and 19 fractional share units. It also will have a restaurant and many shops with completion in late 2009. Finally, the Ritz Carlton, with completion in August 2010, will have 71 condos with a reaturant as well.
Several other smaller renovations are also underway: The Landmark in Lionshead will have 17 new condos in addtion to the already existing units, which will all get a ‘facelift’ with completion in 2010. The Vail Mountainview Residences are under construction near the Apollo Park and Ford Park on the Frontage Road. There will be 24 condos at this exciting new complex.
