"Waitin' on the Ritz" - Ritz Residences in Vail waiting on Lionshead final master plan approvals

More information has recently been released on the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Vail that are currently waiting on the Town of Vail’s final approval.  The Ritz properties along with the Four Seasons will be considered top of the line accomodations in terms of Vail Village real estate offerings. 

As early as March and as late as July, Ritz floor plans and pricing will be available for the new 108 luxury condominium properties to be built on the western side of Lionshead.  The building is a joint venture between Vail Resorts and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.  Here is the Ritz Residences intial press release annoucing the partnership from June, 2005.

The Ritz Residences will include two, three, four, five and six bedroom condominiumized properties and will be priced from around two million to over six million dollars.  The quality of construction and finishes promises to be oppulant and of "Ritz Quality".  Most units will have ten foot coffered ceilings, large bedrooms, hardwood floors in main living areas and slab counters.  The building amenities will include a heated year round pool, a private spa and treatment center, a fitness center, storage lockers, ski lockers, ski valet and if approved, a high speed chairlift that will take you half way up Lionshead to the base of Chair twenty-six.

The Ritz Carlton Residences building will be a contemporary interpretation on a traditional Bavarian architectural style and will mesh well with the Marriot that was rebuilt after a large fire several years ago in addition to the world renowned Vail Village.  The build should be started this summer or fall and is predicted to last two and a half years.
