Real Estate Sales in July Stay Hot
July '05 sales beat July '04 by 115%
Another HOT month, and I’m not just talking the thermometer! Real estate sales for the month of July exceeded the July ‘04 sales volume by 115%, continuing a string of 12 months in a row that beat the previous year’s respective month total. Residential real estate sales in Eagle County for July totalled $217,831,600 on 325 transactions. Once again, Eagle and Gypsum drove the market with about 30% of the transactions and 16% of the dollar amount. (The heat and lack of rain in July was relieved by cooler temperatures and consistent rain in August, to the delight of many locals.)
Vail continues on its path of rebuilding and upgrading. To reference a few; the Arrabelle project has a deep hole in Lionshead, the Sonnenalp streetscape/One Willow Bridge project is progressing well, the Chateua Vail (by the roundabout)no longer exists and the Vail Plaza crews continues to work below grade. All of this is evidenced by the cranes dominating Vail’s skyline. The Crossroads project was withdrawn by the developer after the Town Council asked again for more concessions.
