Rising Inventories Shift Market to Buyer
30% Rise in Vail Valley Real Estate Inventory
For the first time in a long time, we are seeing a shift in the real estate market back to the buyer. Within the past three months, inventories of residential properties from East Vail to Dotsero have risen by approximately 30%!! Certain hot areas will continue to favor the seller, but I do feel that overall, it is now a buyer’s market.
Many sellers have recently reduced the prices on their condominiums, townhouses, and homes. The average time a home is listed on the market is also increasing. This being said, Vail should not experience the cooling off (read FREEZING) that the national housing market has seen. Resort real estate continues to be a fantastic alternative to the stock and/or bond markets.
