“The Boy from Altheimer” is an autobiography about a poor family boy who made it good.  Bill Bowen, born and raised during the Depression in Altheimer, Arkansas took the helm of the Arkansas governors office while Bill Clinton campaigned for the Presidency.  Bill, know to all who live in Arrowhead spends his summers in this community waving and smiling all the time as he takes his morning walk to the Eagle River .  Bill and his wife Connie enjoy the super weather found in the Vail Valley and never miss the lack of humidity.  A former fighter pilot, tax atorney,CEO of one of the largest banks in the south and ultimately chief of staff for Governor Bill Clinton will head home for the winter but will be back in the spring to the Valley he loves, Arrowhead at Vail, in the Valley of the Eagle River.
