Trends In Kitchen Remodels
Kitchens Continue to Be the "Heart of the Home"
Everyone spends time in the kitchen, even those of us that don’t cook a lot. Kitchens are the focal point of modest family homes, just as much as in huge trophy homes. And the trends for kitchen remodels encourage openess and intimacy. Contradictory ideas you might say, but creating a cozy, open area can be easier than you think.

Islands tie everything together, and lately we are seeing more varied shapes and creative islands. Many kitchens are foregoing the traditional kitchen table for an island with extra seating. Kids do homework, color, and eat all in the same area nearby to Mom and Dad in the “operations center” for most homes.
Poured concrete counter-tops are being utilized much more often, with a wide variety of colors and textures. Stainless steel and wood counters are also seeing more widespread installation. Granite has become so much more affordable recently relative to its past, that you will continue to see granite slab or tile in a majority of homes.
Just a few observations on recent trends, but the kitchen continues to be the heart of most homes.
