Trout Fishing in the Vail Valley?- From East Vail to Gypsum, you can find condomininums and homes along Gore Creek and the Eagle River!
The Colorado Division of Wildlife designates certain rivers and lakes throughout the state as Gold Medal Waters. These waters are determined to offer the greatest potential for trophy trout fishing.? Gore Creek goes right through?Vail and?is considered a Gold Medal Trout Stream.?? Gore Creek?originates in the upper reaches of the Gore Range Mountain and? quickly tumbles through Vail during its trek to joining the Eagle River, west of Vail at Dowd Junction. This little creek could be classified as an aquarium because of the numerous trout holding in the crystal clear water.
?
The Eagle River originates near the top of Tennessee Pass and?tumbles its way through prime real estate on it?s way to joining with the Colorado River at Dotsero. Fed by the Gore and Sawatch mountains, the Eagle is the lesser-known gem of central Colorado. Taking a backseat in the eye of the public to the Colorado and Frying Pan, the Eagle flows through some of the most coveted ranch land in the country and offers spectacular fishing.?? The river boasts great hatches and offers a healthy population of browns with a few rainbows mixed in.
