Upcoming Summer Events in Beaver Creek
Winter isn't the only time to enjoy Beaver Creek!
Escape the everyday life and explore Beaver Creek and its surroundings by mountain bike, horseback riding, hiking or take the Centennial Express chairlift up to the top of the mountain to Spruce Saddle Lodge. Spruce Saddle is open for lunch daily serving grilled sandwiches and cold beverages. There are complimentary activities at the top of Beaver Creek which include: 18 hole championship disc golf course, tetherball, football, and a children’s sand box. Guests may also take their mountain bikes up the chairlift and ride down the mountain on one of the designated bike trails. Beaver Creek has a variety of mountain biking trails for your riding enjoyment from paved paths to challenging ascents.
The Hiking Center offers nature hikes for all ages and ability levels with expert local guides on both Beaver Creek and the Vail Valley. Horseback Riding is another activity offering treks from one-hour to all day excursions. Other adventures include wagon rides, sunset dinner rides and trips to Beano’s Cabin.
Children love Beaver Creek for the variety of activities, such as, swimming, miniture golf, climbing walls, bungee trampoline, children’s theater and musuem, tennis and kid’s day camp.
Beaver Creek has a huge variety of entertainment scheduled for this summer. The Vilar Center for the Arts in located in Beaver Creek Village. This is an elegant, intimate theater with world-class entertainment. The Center hosts symphonies, ballet companies, film, broadway musicals, comedy, children’s theater and much more. Three Dog Night is scheduled to appear on June 28, 2007. Three Dog Night spent most of the 1970’s on the top of the charts and selling millions of records. From "Joy to the World" and "Mama Told Me Not to Come" the band was one of the most popular bands of all time. Tickets are $65/$75/$80 based on seating. June Jam is scheduled for June 23 and 24, 2007. This free concert will be held in the plaza featuring Tod Tijiema, Dirty Dozen Band and Kansas on Saturday and Chris Daniels and the Kings, Dirty Dozen Band and Kansas on Sunday. The concerts start at 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm. Come out an enjoy the sunshine and music.
A Thursday night favorite is the Beaver Creek Rodeo. Come see the professional cowboys ride, the Rodeo Queens, the mutton bustin’ and enjoy the great food. The gates open at 6:00 pm. For ticket information please call: (970) 845-9090.
