Blus Skies and Tons of Snow for Vail Mountain

The ski season is upon us!!  Vail Mountain opened yesterday with the most terrain in North America.  With 55 trails and 784 acres now open, all ski bums, shredders, free-heelers and mountain enthusiasts are all grinning ear-to-ear.  Great powder and wide groomers greeted thousands of happy faces eager to start the ‘06-’07 season.

Beaver Creek is slated to open next week, and Vail plans to open more terrain between now and then, including Game Creek Bowl.  Get your skis tuned, roll out of bed or get your hotel reservations in place, and bring your love for the mountains because THE SKI SEASON IS NOW!!

It is the first opening day that I have missed since I moved to Vail and my knee surgery has gone well, but I won’t be on the mountain for another month or so.  So to all of you on the hill today, make a turn for me and I’ll see you out there soon!
