Vail Real Estate Inventory Rises Slightly
Approximately 1000 Active Residential Listings
It’s springtime in the Rockies and that means beautiful warm days, an occasional storm (at least this year), and an increase in residential real estate inventory. Over the past several months, we have seen a Vail Valley-wide inventory jump of about 10% or so. There are currently about 1000 active residential listings, with about 600 properties also under contract.
March and April tend to be a time when the market catches its a breath a bit; the proverbial calm before the storm as locals and soon-to-be-locals prepare to house hunt as the off season approaches. There are typically fewer transactions compared to other months. (January and February usually have the fewest transactions; the 3rd and 4th quarters the most!)
