Vail Real Estate Sales Surpass $2 Billion
The sales numbers are in for November of ‘08 and according to Trevor Theelke of Land Title, this is the 5th straight year real estate sales have surpassed $2billion.
Below are comments from Theelke on November’s numbers:
There were three main factors in November that contributed to the $174,144,400 in sales volume over 120 transactions.
- There were 9 sales over $4 million of which 7 were $8 million or more. The highest sale was in the Lodge at Vail for $12,950,000.
- Manor Vail had 5 sales totaling $29,618,200. This represents an average price per square foot of $2,287.
- The Westin Riverfront had 33 sales totaling $27,632,700, an average of $1,042 per square foot.
- Real estate transactions through November number 1,504, totaling $2,009,768,600, which is just 27% off last year’s record breaking year. Nearly 30% of the total dollar volume has come from the high end sales in Vail Village and Lionshead while the majority of the transactions, approximately 14%, have come from Eagle. Avon has accounted for just over 10% of all transactions thus far through 2008.
November Highlights:
- Vail Village had an average sales price of $5,989,157, the highest in Eagle County
- Avon had the most transactions, 34, of which 33 were sales at The Westin Riverfront
- Multi-family homes sold for an average price of $1,903,773.
- Single family homes sold for an average of $1,299,753.
