Vail Real Estate showing signs of improvement!
Vail Real Estate is showing signs of improvement! In the last week there have been 14 homes sold from $250,000 to $4,650,000. Yes, there is a home for everyone in the Vail Valley. In the last week 19 homes went under contract, including the President’s Ford home in Beaver Creek, listed for just under 13 Million.
The pending home sales in the Vail MLS show a healthy gain from last year and is consistent with what the National Association of Realtors is reporting. According to NAR, the Pending Homes Sales Index, a forward looking indicator based on contracts signed in February, rose 8.2 per cent to 97.6 and remains 17.3 percent above February, 2009.
While it is still a challenge to get a contract to closing due to the strict financing market, it is encouraging Vail home sales are moving in the right direction and a hopeful sign of a rising real estate market. NAR’s chief economist, Lawrence Yun, felt the rise in buyer contact activity was a signal of the early states of a surge in home sales and hinting home prices are continuing to flatten . If so, this is a great time to consider buying a home in Vail, when prices are rolled back 5 years or more, interest rates are still low, and the inventory large, expanding home options.
If you have always wanted a place in Vail or the surrounding Vail Valley, including Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, Edwards or Eagle, now is the time to take a look at Vail property.
