As we approach 2009, the Vail Valley real estate market has seen its slowest period in recent memory.  The uncertainty in national markets and in international economies has had a significant impact here in Eagle County, CO.  We’ve seen high inventory levels, with a slow absorption rate resulting in major price reductions for many homes.  The silver lining to these dark clouds is that there are great opportunities to buy great properties here in Vail.  Value= a great time to buy!

The value that exists in the current real estate market is the best that I’ve seen.  Of course with real estate, it depends on the specific property and the specific seller.  Many sellers now are very eager to negotiate on price in a way that they may not have been a year ago.  We’ve seen it in most neighborhoods throughout the valley.  And it appears that mortgage money is more available than people think.  And at historically good rates!
