So, you're in town for a week and you want to know what to do while in Edwards, CO. Formerly just a dot on the map west of Vail and Beaver Creek ski resorts, Edwards is now a destination unto itself. And the following paragraphs will hopefully give you a bit of insight into this great community!

Located along the Eagle River in the heart of the Vail Valley, Edwards has several neighborhoods each with its own feel. (listed here in no particular order: Arrowhead/Singletree/Homestead/Edwards proper/Lake Creek/Cordillera)
For the outdoor enthusiasts:
Many of us that live here moved here because of our love for the great outdoors. There are countless ways to spend the approx. 300 days of sunshine we receive each year, but here are a few: kayak or raft the Eagle River, mountain bike up Brush Creek, fly fish the Eagle, play golf at the Sonnenalp Golf Club, Cordillera, or Country Club of the Rockies (CCR), explore the hiking trails of Lake Creek, try your skills at the Edwards skate park, play tennis at the Homestead Court Club.
For dining out:
Edwards has so many dining options, there is definitely something for everyone.? Be sure not to miss the following places: etown: located in Riverwalk, this local favorite restaurant/bar has a great atmosphere with excellent food. And with 15 flat screens, you're able to catch all of your teams' games. eat!drink!: located in Edwards Corner, this wine shop/speciality food store is a one stop shop for all of your food and drink needs. Check out their paninis and their hard-to-find wines at reasonable prices. Balata Restaurant: located in the clubhouse at the Sonnenalp Golf Club in Singletree, worth a trip for the deck and views alone. Go for cocktails as the sun is setting! Larkburger: located in the Edwards Village Center, already a family favorite, this healthy take on fast food hits the mark. Try a turkey burger w/ the truffle fries, you won't be disappointed.
Fun for the kids:
Visit Freedom Park with its huge playground, skate park, pop-jet fountains, pavillion, dog park, beach volleyball, and athletic fields. Stop by the Bookworm, a true local bookstore with a great coffee shop. Visit the Edwards River Preserve and enjoy the peaceful river views. Bike along the Eagle River on the paved bike paths. Put on those hiking boots and explore the West Lake Creek & East Lake Creek Trails. Watch a movie at the Edwards Movie Theater in Riverwalk.
